The General Electric U36C followed on the heels of, and was externally identical to, the U33C. Offering an additional 300 horsepower, these locomotives found their way onto everything from coal drags to hot intermodal trains in the 1970s and 1980s. This LEGACY locomotive is available in all new road names and paint schemes. Scale coupler mounting brackets are included and scale wheels are available through Lionel Customer Service for those looking to make the conversion.
