This is the best material that I can find to replace the non-silhouette window inserts in my 2400-series passenger cars, but it's not exactly like the original. It's only half the thickness of the postwar material but it still looks fine. The problem is that it's too short to do the full length with a single piece -- it fits the entire passenger area but not long enough to extend to the small windows in the end side doors. So for 2400-type cars, you'll need to cut a piece for each side, plus another couple of small pieces just to cover those small windows near the end of the car.
If this was at least 10-1/2" long like the original postwar insert, instead of 9-1/4" (not even 9-1/2" as stated in the description) it would be five stars for these cars. For longer cars, you'll just need to cut more pieces. For shorter cars where you want an opaque window, this material will work great.
It's also 4" tall rather than 3.5" as stated in the description, so you get more than you're expecting there.
All that said, I will buy more of this material as I just can't find anything better. And the price is right!
